Answer and information site About.com conducted a survey recently to find out why people search online. In their “Three Mindsets of Search” survey results, they’ve identified the core drivers, which are largely age and gender agnostic, to be: +Answers (46%), finding a quick solution to a problem, simple how to. +Inspiration (28%), focused on discovery, and finding creative possibilities. +Education (26%), long-form research, searchers willing to put in more time, want more details.
