NPD has released their Q2 2011 Games Industry: Total Consumer Spend report. According to their estimates, US consumers spent $1.44B on new physical video/PC game software and $1.74B on used, rentals, subscriptions, digital, social, etc. for the quarter. Total spend, hardware + software for Q2, was up 1% YOY to $4.5B. Press release here.
