Last year, Google selected Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri from 1,100 applicants to be test-cities for Google Fiber, an ultra high-speed broadband network, looking to deliver speeds of up to 1gigabit per second to residents willing to pay for the service. Today, Google looks to be expanding their horizons to TV. According to the Kansas City Star, Google Inc. has filed an application to provide a cable-like pay TV/Video package to residents of Kansas City, Mo. Follow Google Fiber developments on their blog.
