Adidas and Major League Soccer are using the 2012 AT&T MLS All-Star game as a launch party for new interactive coaching/training tech, micoach. Dubbed “ the world’s first smart soccer match", the micoach team tracking system will provides coaches real-time metrics, including player position, power output, speed, distance covered, and GPS heat mapping. Also, longer term, MLS is exploring ways to surface the data on their website for fans. More from MLS here.
