RSVP

Stemming from recent issues at midnight product launches, Nike is employing an interesting use of Twitter. Through their new RSVP program, Nike stores will notify followers when they will begin accepting RSVPs for new releases. Once RSVPs open, followers must DM the store with a custom hashtag and other identifiable info. Shoes are then reserved on a "first respond, first serve" basis, and can be picked up in person on launch day.
