Facebook hosted a media session this week to announce changes to your news feed, some notes below. They also published a developer’s blog with a deeper dive into the world of algorithms, which ultimately determine what you see.

· No more Flash. With efforts to streamline their ad units, starting Sept 30 FB will no longer support inline rich media (i.e. Flash) in desktop ad campaigns.

· Story bumping. A post that you didn’t scroll far enough to see the first time you log in will be eligible to reappear higher during subsequent visits if it’s gotten a lot of engagement from your friends

· Last Actor. FB will take into account your last 50 engagements, giving more weight to people and pages you’ve recently interacted with.
