Microsoft is not going easy in the Mobile battle it appears. Expected to close in early 2014, with approval from shareholders, Microsoft has purchased Nokia’s mobile phone business for a reported $7.2B. Nokia was the second largest mobile phone company (sales) in the second quarter of 2013, with 19.9% market share. Samsung’s led the way (21.5%) and Apple ranked 3rd 6.9%). More here.
