Don’t call it a monopoly, but Comcast, the country’s largest cable provider, is about to get even larger. In an announcement this week, they’ve confirmed a merger with Time Warner Cable. Comcast will absorb 100% of TWC for $159 a share in Comcast stock, valuing the deal at $45.2B. Combined, Comcast will now have approx. 33.1M subscribers.
